WASTEWATER EXPERIENCE

DE has successfully completed (or have ongoing) over 1000 improvement projects, primarily for public bodies. Of these, over 100 were wastewater projects.

Regional Wastewater Systems

DE has experience in regional wastewater systems. DE has successfully designed and constructed a regional wastewater system to serve the communities of Grayson and Clarks.


Wastewater Collection

DE has vast experience in the planning, designing and construction of wastewater collection systems. DE utilizes Haestad’s SewerCad to develop sewer main slopes and velocities. Prime examples of this type of project are:

Arcadia – Sanitary wastewater collection system comprised of 10” & 8” PVC mains, pre-cast concrete manholes and sewage pumping stations.

Oak Ridge – Sanitary wastewater collection system comprised of 8” PVC mains, pre-cast concrete manholes and sewage pumping stations.

Florien – Sanitary wastewater collection system comprised of 8” PVC mains, pre-cast concrete manholes and sewage pumping stations.

Provencal – Sanitary wastewater collection system comprised of 8” PVC mains, pre-cast concrete manholes and sewage pumping stations.

North Hodge – Sanitary wastewater collection system comprised of 8” PVC mains, pre-cast concrete manholes and sewage pumping stations.

Grayson – Sanitary wastewater collection system comprised of 8” PVC mains, pre-cast concrete manholes and sewage pumping stations.

Wastewater Treatment

DE has successfully planned, designed and constructed numerous wastewater treatment facilities. These facilities include biological treatment facilities and physical/mechanical treatment facilities with advanced wastewater treatment processes. Each facility was designed to produce an effluent that would meet the receiving stream’s discharge limits as established by the governing authority in relation to the applicable Water Quality Management Plan as mandated by the Federal Clean Water Act. Examples of these projects are as follows:

Lake Providence - 5.0 MGD biological facility comprised of oxidation ponds, pumping station and a 12” treatment effluent transmission main to the outfall in the Mississippi River.

Hornbeck - .08 MGD biological facility comprised of an oxidation pond, rock-reed filter and disinfection facilities.

Provencal - .05 MGD biological facility comprised of an oxidation pond, rock-reed filter and disinfection facilities.

Grayson/Clarks - .15 MGD biological facility comprised of two oxidation ponds, rock-reed filter and disinfection facilities.

St. Joseph - .20 MGD biological facility comprised of an oxidation pond, rock-reed filter and disinfection facilities.

Sikes - .05 MGD biological facility comprised of an oxidation pond, rock-reed filter and disinfection facilities.

Monroe - 20 MGD physical/mechanical facility comprised of sedimentation and filtration, advanced treatment processes and disinfection facilities.

Oak Grove - 2.0 MGD extended aeration/activated sludge facility comprised of aeration basin, clarifier and disinfection facilities.
